I believe I can carefully edit and remove the Oiii halos as needed. The reason there are clip-in filters for Canons with APS-C sensors is that Canon has two kinds of lenses, EF (for full frame) and EF-S (for APS-C). The lens mounts used in astronomy are EF type. EF-S lenses sit a little closer to the sensor.
