Webb18 apr. 2024 · Color me surprised. I would have never thought that. So I won't be running the Carvin cab anymore, and I also have no use for the X100B head, since the cleans on the Marshall are just as nice. What sucks is that the market is way down on the Carvin X100B right now, and the cabs are probably even worse. So I'll probably just keep it. Webb10 okt. 2024 · I remember getting a great deal on my 50 watt Silver Jubilee head when I bought it becuase I was also trading in a Carvin X100B head and the sales guy forgot to plug the Carvin into a speaker cabinet. He turned it on and started playing; there was no sound and smoke came out of the back of my Carvin.

Owned and gigged an x100b guitar head and custom Carvin cabinets for years with no problems. Never had issues with any Carvin or Peavey products. On the 25% setting, you can get the clean channel to break up naturally. With the clean channel, it's almost hard to make it sound bad. The thing I noticed right away was how "HUGE" this amp sounded.
