Spintech vs flowmaster
WebMar 28, 2024 · The general consensuses is that SpinTech's outperform Flowmaster's, and have a unique but still chambered sound. I'm all about performance, but the sound has to be right for me too. I'm gonna say that if you put big obstructions in the way of air flow, it's not going to increase. That sounds like absolute marketing BS. WebDec 4, 2024 · My '67 had Flowmaster 40s when I bought it. While it sounded good at idle and when accelerating, the drone and decibel level was terrible at cruising speeds. I cut them off and welded in Dynomax Super Turbos using v-band clamps for ease of removal. It now has just the right sound, and I can have a conversation with a passenger while driving.

WebJun 16, 2004 · Had Flowmaster 40 Series on my 408 Stang, and changed to Bullet's with an X-Pipe and dumps..... Best change I ever made. They are loud as hell though behind that 408. With just the 44's, it was like stock but a tad more noticable. Hard to compare with the 40 series since I added headers and piping, but it is raspier and much louder than the 44's. At least this line is. But I think I am happy with the sound, just would have liked it a little quieter still. Less bass with the glasspacks I think as well.
