WebIf I remember correctly this is the first tale, if you have the shroud breaker in hand then you have the checkpoint. I would just leave server and start a new game, then start the tall tale from checkpoint via the voyage table on your ship. That should spawn the shroud breaker on the table and then try hand it into the mysterious stranger again.
